Product Features, Functions, and FAQs
1. Product Description
This 17-degree-of-freedom humanoid robot features clawed hands and can perform classic humanoid movements such as dancing and race walking. With its simple structure and comprehensive functions, it is a classic and affordable material for education, teaching, and DIY projects for robot enthusiasts.
If you do not require specific accessories included in the package, you can contact our customer service to adjust the price accordingly. Please leave a message specifying your requirements, and we will process your request promptly. Additionally, we offer a complete set of hardware accessories, and buyers can add extra items to their cart as needed.
2. Power Supply Solutions
The servo motors used in the robot have high instantaneous current demands when starting and stopping. When multiple servos operate simultaneously, a reliable power supply is essential, as standard power sources or batteries may not suffice.
The recommended working voltage for the servo motors is 5–7V. Higher voltages increase the speed and torque of the motors, but exceeding 7V may damage them. We offer two power supply options:
- High-discharge model aircraft batteries – Compact, portable, and convenient.
- High-power switching power supplies – Suitable for long-term use in research and studies.
3. Control Options
You can control the robot using our servo controller or create a custom controller. Our controller provides the following features:
- PC-based Debugging Software: Supports C# visual programming with pre-packaged action commands. Users can adjust motor angles, set running times, save, and download actions.
- Wireless Remote Control: Includes a remote for downloading and executing pre-programmed actions wirelessly.
- Offline Operation: Allows running pre-set actions in offline cycles or specifying actions via a wireless remote.
For advanced users, reference materials are available to design custom servo controllers. The joy of DIY lies in the process!
4. Advanced Control Features
Our servo controller is equipped with a USB communication port, enabling direct connection to a PC via a USB cable for serial communication. You can use the host computer software or any serial debugging tool compatible with our controller.
Additionally, a TTL-level serial port interface is provided for integration with external microcontrollers or devices. This allows real-time motion control through serial commands from an external device.
5. Usage Precautions
This 17-degree-of-freedom humanoid robot is not a toy. Teenagers should operate it under adult supervision. Please follow these safety guidelines:
- Avoid short circuits: High-power model batteries and power supplies can cause severe damage or even fire if short-circuited.
- Do not overcharge batteries: Overcharging can damage batteries and pose safety risks. Monitor the charger indicator and remove the battery once fully charged.
- Avoid over-discharging batteries: Recharge promptly when the battery is low to prevent reduced lifespan.
- Prevent motor stalling: Ensure the mechanical structure's range of motion aligns with the servo motor’s movement. Pay special attention to mechanical grippers to avoid motor burnout due to stalling.
- Check wire connections: Connect the servo motor to the controller correctly. Typical wire colors: red (positive), black/brown (negative), yellow/white (signal).
By adhering to these guidelines, you can ensure the safe and efficient operation of your robot.
